Man I having a great mental block, not a lack of ideas but sort of so many ideas I don’t have the ability to fallow any of them through, ha, oh no my ADD taking over. Today I want to share some articles and things I have read and want to pass along. Have a good weekend.

-First this was a story about Buddhism that really hit my heart, and speaks to remind me so much to why I proudly call myself a Buddhist. “Zen Master Dae Kwang – Kill the Buddha“.

-I stumbled on this and really liked it being left handed myself, Also check out this article about being left handed: “Being Left-handed.”  Also I hope this exert from an essay I read is right.

- I am a bit of a math geek and when I saw this I like it a lot. “A million digits of Pi.”

-The spinning girl optical Illusion, this is so weird, try making this woman switch directions, it took me a second but with a bit of concentration I was able to get her to switch directions. It does work (If you can’t get to work the article has a link that is really cool and allows you see for yourself). “Spinning Girl.”

That Fleeting Feeling

In a smoke filled room
In the back of a crowded basement.
Sound of air rushing in
The dragoon is forcefully awakened.

Eyes grow bigger
Starts to unfocus.

Confront Reality.

I wrote this down on Saturday afternoon.

Everyday it seems we are all being sold on some beau ideal, and in doing so you have to regiment your life according to those strict and rigid rules that exist in that epitome.

When is a chair not a chair? Well when someone has no concept of what a chair is.

The only way to prove something is if someone else can reproduce it, is that not flawed logic in a world of individuals.

Life runs on a pretty stringent laws and probabilities and through psychedelics drugs, novelty in reality suddenly change and reestablishes itself. The only problem is recreating it becomes impossible even under the same substances, and circumstances that’s why they call it hallucination. (definition of Hallucination: a sensory experience of something that does not exist outside the mind, caused by various physical and mental disorders, or by reaction to certain toxic substances, and usually manifested as visual or auditory images.) My only problem is to say it is not real, well that’s a pretty big statement to make, because reality is not really real and is always changing based on sensory data received by the brain every second.  Walk around for a while looking at things and try and remember all the data that is beamed into your brain that causes you to change your statues to fit into the surrounding reality, how strong the wind is blowing, elevation of the ground, certain smells received by the noose, what your hears gather, all that the brain uses to create your surroundings. I guess that’s my argument reality for most is as only real as your current situation. The best example that can always be given is we used to think the world was flat and there was an edge of nothingness that a ship call fall in or on or through.

Television is very dangerous to watch, the makes your brain weak to all the semantical deception, and all the flashing things mostly to get you to believe you need things and that those things will make life better. Trying to influence your reality, and they do it well I mean they have the ability to visually and auditorially to control two very strong senses and thus drawing a watcher in. Quick thought: I once saw at who owned all the media and was a absurdly small amount of people.

I have said these things before, but I am not quite sure, well at least these thoughts are not original. But the point I think still stays valid to remind me. Let go of everything I know and start thinking that’s its all just suggestions and that no one really knows anything, it is all just conjecture and someone trying to make the best argument to get me and the masses to believe in a certain paradigm. Whether it be science, religion, television, or this that I am writing now. Remember truly believe some day you will day and all this conjecture wont matter, just stay at the place and reality that keeps you most comfortable, and that their cannot be happiness without sadness… it will come around, cause and effect.

I wrote this the other day when I came out of a good meditation, I did not edit at all just spell checking and even the definition of Hallucination was marked for me to look up, because I could not remember it then. I hope someone gets something out this for me it is happiness.

This is for a friend who was asking me about drawing and she wanted to know how to do things like shading and filling, I was telling her it is not that hard, it just you gotta have the tools, so here is a picture of the tools, not picture is the cotton swabs or tissue paper needed for shading. (I like the Nicole set it costs about $5 for all this.)

Well this post you don’t really need to read. It is just a maintenance issue post. I am currently working on a new wordpress theme one I create myself, I like this current theme but there are just some things that I would like to add myself. I would also would like to extend the site meaning create a dedicated picture page and also a sub-domain, for friends, so they can manage and edit their own pages. (I have lots of room on my hosting plan.)

But first things first I am learning how to programming in PHP, I find it pretty easy well at least more user oriented then Java, which I had to learned in high school and took a class in college so I am OK with using it but not a fan at all. But PHP has so far been a lot more fun.

So those are the changes that I plan on making, and I have no set schedule for it so don’t expect anything right away.

Also I recently added the Creative Commons license to the right side bar right below the flickr.com sidebar. The Creative Commons license is a great idea and I suggest you look into if you plan on release stuff on the Internet. http://creativecommons.org/.

Also when I first started this site I had an idea to do a podcast to accompany my ramblings, I still plan on doing but I have to admit, it is a lot harder to produce a decent podcast then I had originally thought, so that is coming slowly as well.

I am also thinking about doing a forum because I have friends all over this country and I think that a forum would be a good idea to be able to keep up with people, especially for those of us who do not use a social network, and I know a few paranoid bastards such as myself. ( I should clarify, the people who own the site, own the information that is put on it, in the case of myspace it is Fox Broadcasting and as for Facebook it is still a private company I believe, but I don’t like risking on how long till they stay private. But I do use Flickr.com and yahoo owns that so don’t believe anything I say cause I am being a hypocrite.   But hosting photos takes up alot of space, and why not let them do it. )

The idea to do a post about music came from my friend Amy’s blog at Who Ever Heard of a Fatalistic Farmer?. It is a good site, but she did a post which I liked the idea of called Mixed Tape Ten on November 3rd, 2008 which she posted new music she had found. I loving music listened to them, like I told her my tastes are not the same but I will hear anything, I suggest you check out her choices yourself. So I enjoyed the theme so I decided to “steal” it and do one of my own. I hope some like the songs I decided to share.

Every once in a while this Insomnia hits me and I can sleep, this current spell has me very tired it has been since Monday night that I have gotten any sleep. It is very frustrating because my general routine gets all out of whack I am not able to go the gym due to the lack of energy, so no working out.

But it’s not all bad, yesterday afternoon I got a call and was able to attain two dots of fun, whether or not I sleep tonight I plan on taking them on Friday around 7am in the morning. I plan on taking by myself due to that my person I like to take such things is not available but that’s OK, it has been a while since I had a solo adventure.

It has been suggest and I say wisely not to do such things by your lonesome, I say this is a very difficult subject for me to speak on I know what I can handle, from the past experiences (but you have to always respect the substance and never underestimate it every ride is different), when I go alone I like meditating on substance for long period of times, but I have been meditating for a while so even not under the influence I can meditate for several hours at a time. I am not you and don’t know what you can handle so do what you do and leave me to do what I do, experiment with yourselves and your heads, I will not give any recommendations on how to do any of this.

Meditation and altered reality is something I want to talk about but I will wait, till after Friday. But the idea of trying to making the mind not think about anything is hard especially with your mind bent, that’s is why I have liked doing these types of things alone.

Last night I watched movies all night and watched this anime called Tekkonkinkreet, it was an amazing play on the duality of man and balancing force, the Yin Yang. The central themes of the movie where amazing.

Wow I am tired I cant concentrate I am everywhere today, I hope everyone has a good day.

The first time I read An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith I was blown away and I think that is the reason I became so fascinated with economics, and that’s why I am going to school for it. The reason I mention this is because of the current situation or market is in.

I think everyone knows by now full well that we are very tied in with the global market and if one fails we are up a creek as well, but what happens when we fail? Well the theory is the world markets would cannibalize us and leave the United States economy to implode on its self.

I honestly don’t want to talk about economic theory, because I know every time I try to speak people that are not “into it”, it comes off as boring.

But watching the way the markets are trending I have to say I am starting to believe in the One World Order, theory. Some of the collapses that has happened just should have not happened this quickly, and it really does point to being controlled and influenced, it really is not just the prime mortgage problem, but gold crash, crude oil crash (which both I think was manipulated and should increase back to true value soon) . We do have a new president, but looking over his economic policy I don’t see a good solution for the fixing of our market. The government thinks it has to much power over the economy. I hope this new government has does do some good, and is able to turn around this economy.

Quick prediction the next unit of the market to take a hit will be the dollar. Recently the dollar went up, but in reality all foreign currencies took a tumble, I being Brazilian fallow their currency the “Real” and it crashed, it was some where around $1.37 to the dollar a few months ago, now it’s $2.21 to the dollar as of today 1:00pm Eastern Tuesday, Nov. 11th 2008. So it was not the strength of the dollar increasing but other currencies falling.

I love America it is amazing, and I hope nothing but good things for it so I hope this is fixable and not the last gasps of a great nation, but faith in our economic system needs to return. Long Live the Republic.

Jefferson Memorial Forest

On Saturday November 8th 2008 , me and  some friends went to Jefferson Memorial Forest. It was a lot of fun we went for a trail hike the trail we did was the McConnel (Yellow) Trail in the Paul Yost map location. The trail is a 5.4mile loop and the difficulty is listed as strenuous, and I tend to agree fully. The trail was very hilly and had me ascending and descending many hills, the hike in all took about 2:30hours. I highly recommend it, if you have a chance to get to Jefferson Memorial Forest, the one thing that would keep me from giving the trail a 5/5 would be that there was no water during the trail, but that was not to much of a damper. I would say that the best part of the trail was that at parts it seemed as if we where lost and off the trail and truly walking through a forest, and you have to love that. I did this drawing today to look at you, I am not very happy with it my patience was short and I went to fast during the drawing but it came out ok, hope you like it. I love drawing eyes and hands, maybe I will post some of my drawings of hands. I am also working on a women, but that will take a while I don’t draw many female or male forms, so I am not practiced at it. I like surrealism.

Hey it’s another not so beautiful Sunday, in Louisville, but hey another day alive is a good day to me. I bring your Jamboree for today.

I saw this the other day and really liked it, I guess it is easy to say as a bassist, but hey if you can’t find humor in it, pick up an instrument.

This is amazing and true, at least to the view I have in choosing my wife.
